INFORMATION

​"Embers & Dust" is an 11-minute short film directed by Patrick Biesemans, released in 2016. Set against the backdrop of Orson Welles' 1938 "War of the Worlds" radio broadcast, the film explores the imagination of a young farm boy during this historic event. The narrative delves into how the broadcast sparks the boy's curiosity, leading him on a personal journey into the surrounding woods. ​

The film has been praised for its atmospheric storytelling and attention to period detail, effectively capturing the era's ambiance. It has been featured on platforms such as Film Shortage, which highlighted its meditative approach to storytelling. ​
